Dinnerware

I have a new love affair with dinnerware. I realized that your home decor doesn't have to start and end with furniture or new paint; you can change your dinnerware to match your mood of the season. I didn't want to be one of those people that had beautiful china that never got used. I have been on the hunt for dinnerware that can be used for various occasions and with different kings of table linens to achieve different looks. I saw a dinner set on television one day and it was a white china set that had an intricate red  design on the outer rim. I went to T.J Maxx on a whim and they had a display that contained "my dishes." This set can easily be used for a Christmas or Valentine's day dinner. I matched it up with all red salad plates an bowls.

The other set that I found is a very traditional set that could be used for any occasion because it has texture and great detail.

I will be putting together a tablescape for upcoming holidays and everyday use.
Have fun with your space by making it your place to escape to!

Build it and they will come...

I really want to figure out how to get out doors and spend time with friends and family. I recently came across a article on How to Build a Fire Pit. I am into getting my hands dirty this  year and being out in nature. I hope to take on this project and get a handle on how to have quality looking DIY projects. I have to find a house first (lol) but I will show everyone my progress and finished project.

I am trying to lose weigh but I want to bake for my family so this article helps me find a happy medium.
